Velmoor is dying. A corrupted moon hangs low over the valley, and its grey light seeds a plague of lycanthropy. You are Seraphine Vael, the last blade of a fallen order — bitten in the opening hour and now carrying the curse in your own blood. Reach the source before the beast claims you.

What it is

Four pillars

An original 2.5D gothic action-exploration Metroidvania — fully 3D characters and environments, played on a precise side-scrolling plane.

Weighty, readable combat

Every strike lands with commitment and a clear tell. Read the enemy, choose your moment, and make the blow count.

One interconnected world

Velmoor is a single hand-crafted place — forest, village, cathedral and castle bleed into one another, not a level select.

Power at the cost of humanity

The Beastblood curse grows stronger the more you surrender to it — and it never lets that bargain feel free.

Exploration that changes the map

Earn new ways to move and watch sealed corners of the world open. The map itself is the reward.

Seraphine “Sera” Vael, last knight of the Argent Vigil

The hunter

Seraphine “Sera” Vael

Sera is the last knight-initiate of the Argent Vigil, a fading order of monster-hunters who swore to end curses rather than simply kill the cursed. She crosses into quarantined Velmoor to do what her elders could not.

Then she is bitten. The curse is in her now — a countdown running against her humanity. Every step toward Castle Mordwen is also a step away from herself, and the master of the valley would very much like her to stop fighting it.

The hook

The Beastblood

The curse is not just a story — it is how you fight. Lean on it and you grow terrifying. Lean on it too often and it starts to lean back.

  1. 1

Fight to feed it. Landing blows in combat fills your Beastblood.

  2. 2

Take the beast. A full meter lets you unleash a temporary Beast Form.

  3. 3

Hit far harder. In Beast Form your offence surges — for a while.

  4. 4

Pay for the power. That strength carries real danger in the moment…

  5. 5

…and after. Leaning on the curse leaves its mark on Sera’s journey.

The world

One valley, many locks

Velmoor is laced with gates you can’t yet pass. New traversal powers turn old dead-ends into shortcuts, secrets, and whole new regions.

Combat

A planned arsenal

The full game is designed to support several weapon classes, each a distinct way to fight. Not all are playable in the current build.

Blades

Balanced speed and reach — the versatile default.

Greatweapons

Slow, staggering, built to break guard and poise.

Whips & Chains

The longest reach; sweep and control the crowd.

Gauntlets & Claws

Fast, close, and vicious — at home in Beast form.

Polearms

Mid-range pokes and safe spacing.

Vigil ranged arms

Silver bolts and relic-thrown tools for the hunt.

Weapon classes are a design goal for the full game — the current vertical slice ships with the starting blade.

  • Original music, sound, and finished art
